French-speaking Express Entry candidates invited by Nova Scotia
On April 27, 2020, Nova Scotia invited Express Entry candidates to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence in Canada via its Labour Market Priorities Stream. This new draw goals Express Entry candidates who have selected French as their first official language and have an 8 or higher Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) score in all language skills (reading, writing, listening and speaking). In all these language skills, selected candidates were required to have a CLB score of at least 6 or better in English, and either a bachelor's degree or a completed program of three years or more at a university, college, trade or technical school. Candidates also needed to have a valid Express Entry number and follow the minimum requirements in order to be accepted in the pool.
